The headset that I got with my instinct worked with my pre when I got it. I would be inclined to say that it will work but seeing as how it's an apple product there';s a chance it won't.

dude you can actually use those headphones, they barely fit into me amd my wifes ears?

No. But I tried them to see if they worked

oh, i was starting to think they actually provided headphones that fit someone other than jar jar binks, nobody ive let see them could fit them

I'm sure the stereo earbuds will work, as will the mic, but will the volume and center button work?

I used to have an iPhone and I loved that I could lower and raise the volume on the headset itself, as well as the ability to pause, skip fwd/back without needing to pull the phone out.  With the Atrix being a much larger device, I'll probably have more of a reason to keep it in my pocket instead of fumbling with it while walking/jogging.

If anyone have this combo right now (eying at the people who got them as freebies!), can you try it out and report back, please?

Thanks all!

Slightly straying off topic but my (Stock) Instinct headphones work great w/my Atrix.  Also work very well making phone calls.     Grin

I have headphones that work with my Atrix, the button plays/pauses and a long press starts the voice dialer.

I am curious if anyone know if you can change the function of the button, the Iphone double press would track forward.  Wish these ones did too, double press on Atrix does not do anything.

OK, I haven't found anything that meets my specific needs despite searching this forum, looking through the Motorola "accessory" websites, contacting Sprint, contacting Motorola directly, contacting Radio Shack - so I'm beginning to think I will need to fabricate something myself (which I'd rather not have to do for several reasons).

What I am looking for:

Over-the-ear, stereo headset with boom microphone that connects to the 3.5mm (4 conductor) plug for the Motorola Atrix or Motorola Hero.

I have found earbud models that are designed for BlackBerry or iPhone, and I have found a lot of "PC" headsets with the dual 3.5mm plugs.

What I need is either a headset that meets these requirements or a nifty adapter that will take two 3.5mm plugs (one for headphones, one for microphone) and turn it into one 3.5mm 4-connector plug that will fit in the Atrix.

References or links please...Huh?

I've already orderes some bits and parts that may allow me to put something together, but it will be slightly "ghetto" and not particularly suitable for a Christmas present for my daughter.

Any help will be appreciated.

OK, so I'm obviously missing something.  Amazon (and the rest of the sites which I have searched) show many varieties of earbuds, but no "over the ear" headsets - which is what I clearly stated in my post.

I'm looking for an "over the ear" headset with a boom mic - not a set of earbuds with a dangling mic.  If there are really tons of them on Amazon or wherever else, I'd really appreciate a direct link.  I've looked but haven't found - so please provide me with a link that shows one or two, even if not tons.

I have done the "legwork".  There are none that I can find.  I have not only looked online, but have personally talked with Sprint, Motorola, and Radio Shack support personnel and they can find nothing.  Please don't insult me by indicating that I haven't (or couldn't) search despite the fact that I said that I had searched.  I'm not sure I believe that you've actually seen 20 types because at least one of them would have shown up with all of my searching.

Simply: an over-the-ear stereo headset with boom microphone that has a single 3.5mm 4-connector plug.

I don't mean to be snippy, but I don't think you've seen 20.

OK, we clearly have a "failure to communicate".  The classic definition of "over the ear" means that the headset covers the ear, not that it wraps over the top of the ear.  For an example, see http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220681998985&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2065wt_1139

These are the types of headsets that mask other sounds by sealing them out (not necessarily the noise-canceling ones).

I have searched, I have talked, I have queried and I still haven't found ANY that meet this description: not "clip over the ear", but actually "over the ear".

I'm not calling you a liar, but I don't think I'm doing anything wrong.  I clearly said in my initial post that I had looked extensively, but because we were apparently talking about slightly different things you thought I hadn't.

Back to my initial question: I can't find any "over the ear" (as in "covers the ear") headsets with boom microphones that have a 4-conductor 3.5mm plug.

There's not much point in getting in a pissing contest over semantics, terminology, and "classic".  But, on the other hand, you seem to have a problem hearing what I am saying.  I tried your search for "3.5mm headset earcup" and came up with a similar list to what I had found previously (again, give me some credit for basic search intelligence).  Do your search again and check out the results.  In what I see, every one of these headsets is a PC headset with DUAL 3.5mm plugs - one for the headphones and one for the microphone.

If you go back to my original post and actually read it, you can see that I am looking for something with a SINGLE 3.5mm, 4 conductor plug - or an adapter that will take the dual plug units that your search "discovered" and convert it to something that will plug into the Atrix.

I'm still hoping that this forum will actually provide some help with my question.  So far, we have had a bit of a discussion about communication and semantics but I'm still no farther along in my quest for a solution.

Your "problem" is that you don't seem to want to take the time to understand my question but rather jump in with the answer that you already know is right.  So far, close but no cigar.

Welp, since you actually saw exactly what I wanted and didn't feel like taking the time to post the link, I guess I'll still have to believe that it's "close but no cigar".

I've also never been part of a form where a member (let alone a moderator) essentially says, "I found your answer, I'm not going to tell you where it is, and I'm not going to try to help you any further."

A pretty sad commentary on the nature of the forum.

green tea pills weight loss"Also green tea weight loss pills was proven in 2005 tests on rats that it could reverse obesity cases thus making them lose weight not only preventing obesity . This is due to the mechanism of green tea in burning the brown fat in the body , which is a kind of fats that burns rapidly a lot of calories .
