I had picked up my Atrix4G last year, July 2011. I was going out on a trip to Las Vegas. Usually when I travel or I'm away from home for more than 3days, I like to bring along my laptop. However, as many would know - Las Vegas is not a place where you want to sit in your hotel room and surf the net. haha.
I needed connectivity while I roamed the streets of Las Vegas, and what better than to bring a handheld smartphone. After some brief research, I chose the Atrix4G.
I will admit that I chose the Atrix4G for it's 2-core architecture, but I also got it because of those TV advertisements showing that it's nearly as strong as a basic laptop.
I subscribe to AT&T (I know I know... they must be the hated provider now, haha - but I've been with them since year 2000).
I recently got the upgrade from 2.3.4 to 2.3.6 and was trying to figure out what made AT&T and Motorola feel it urgent enough to make a build-update to my phone (having already upgraded from 2.2.x to 2.3.4 several months back).
and I found this forum.
I am keeping my phone "stock" for now. No rooting or anything of the sort - I'm not all too familiar with how to "unbrick" it if I were to screw up somewhere along the process.
The only thing I would root for is to get the HDMI-output to be independent of the MM dock. :p
