The vast majority of reviews are written by retards who have no idea how to use their phone, how to use the app properly, use apps that aren't for their phones, don't like a font color, etc. Many of the reviews are along the lines of "I can't log in," which isn't an app issue, its 99.999% of the time a user issue.
ALWAYS take them with a grain of salt and look at other statistics as well. If you look on AppBrain.net, you'll see that OrbLive Free has between 10,000-50,000 downloads and 346 people have reviewed it. The paid version has between 1,000-5,000 downloads with 286 ratings.
I've been using it since September 20th (purchased it 5 days later) and have never had a problem. The only time I haven't been able to access my computer is when I didn't have a strong enough 3G signal to watch videos on. Even then it was still sufficient to stream music, though.
So I tried out OrbLive...it didn't quite do what it was I was looking for. All I could do on it was stream video, music, and view photos. And the quality of the video stream is not too good, the music stream was alright. But, its not like I can take those files and put them onto my phone straight from OrbLive. I'm going to stick with ES File Explorer, File Expert, or Astro SMB when I'm at home...they work very well and do exactly what I need. And I'm gonna work on setting up an FTP server on my pc and use an FTP client on my phone, so that I can have access to my pc when I'm away from home.
